Dear sai devotees jsr
We all have read or must have read saisatchartitra…There in the chapter 23 pg 123,under the heading ‘Ordeal of Guru-Bhakti’ is a case where baba asks his bhakts namely the bade baba, shama and kaka saheb dixit to kill a goat. Somebody had brought a goat to the masjid, who was old and about to die. First bade baba was asked to kill it.He flatly refused and said why to kill the goat for no reason??. Then shama was asked to do so. He got a knife from radhakrishnamai, but when she came to know the purpose of the knife she recalled for it. Later baba asked kakasaheb dixit to kill the goat. He readily got a knife and was ready to kill the goat. He was a pure brahmin and never killed anyone in his life. He pulled the knife and looked to baba for last permission and raised his hands to kill it. Just then baba stopped him saying that he was too cruel to kill the goat. Actually this was baba’s way to test his disciples.
But here i would like my friend bhakts to give their opinion and solve my confusion on the other aspect i.e should we kill any jeev for any reason?? for eg here for badebaba it was normal being a muslim to kill the goat and for brahmins to not do so… Is it this way or is the rule of not killing anyone common for all humans?? It sounds funny but i feel very guilty killing mosquitos also. It is really confusing my mind that is hurting any jeev justified?? and if it is then to what extent?? Eating non vegetarian food is justified by some people saying there is nothing like vegetarian as plants have life… I am really confused in all this thoughts…baba himself has not found it wrong in eating or serving meat. but my being a brahmin by birth, it is difficult for me to accept it. we have even heard that ‘jeev jevaa bhakshyate’ i.e one life depends on the other for food. But if sai, if god is in all how can we hurt him?? Please let me know your opinion.

‘If the soul is pure water and say it ressemble the God then the stains are the karma of that soul that makes water impure. If water is evaporated the water escapes but stain can remain on container. Any way water is not destroyed it is freed from the stain and in another form now ready for any other soul. This way God stays in everybody but an individual can be close to God but not God because God is formless, shapeless, fragranceless and unexplainable. One can explain God in terms of saying ‘it is not this’, ‘it is not that’ but one can not say this is God.’ these words have been very helful to me for understanding the effect of karma. thank you for explaining in such simple words.
‘It is the ego of the writer to demonstrate non-violence and unable to accept the fact that every soul is different. To filter the soul from many souls Guru has to keep filters.’ Can u explain these lines further as i dint clearly understand it. what do u mean by filters??and how are souls different from each other?? and one last question…do any karma done in any form, affect the soul?? thank u so much once again jsr

Sai Bhakt,
The question I understand are,
>>should we kill any jeev for any reason??
Normally No, It is the attribute in a soul of individual to go in attack mode that makes an individual to be attacker for any jeeva small or large.
>>Is it this way or is the rule of not killing anyone common for all >>humans??
There is difference between humans and animal. If one understand difference between human and animal then those humans will refrain from behaving like animals and use the birth for the purpose of humanily activity.
>>It sounds funny but i feel very guilty killing mosquitos also. It is >>really confusing my mind that is hurting any jeev justified?? and if >>it is then to what extent??
It is the ego of the writer to demonstrate non-violence and unable to accept the fact that every soul is different. To filter the soul from many souls Guru has to keep filters.
>>if god is in all how can we hurt him??
A Home builder is called as ‘builder’ even though he destroys all the plants and life living in the shade of plants to make a house. Destroy, Create and Maintain always keep happening like energy conservation principle it only changes the physical shape however the energy can not be destroyed but it changes the form. So God is not destroyable also just a little part of the soul makes one God does not mean it is full God. If the soul is pure water and say it ressemble the God then the stains are the karma of that soul that makes water impure. If water is evaporated the water escapes but stain can remain on container. Any way water is not destroyed it is freed from the stain and in another form now ready for any other soul. This way God stays in everybody but an individual can be close to God but not God because God is formless, shapeless, fragranceless and unexplainable. One can explain God in terms of saying ‘it is not this’, ‘it is not that’ but one can not say this is God. The Saints when get status of “SadGuru” are different than who do not have status of SadGuru. SadGuru is a most purest form of soul and more the pure soul more will have rights to command other souls to stay inline and so the action of checking if brahmin can kill the goat by keeping shradha on the sadguru. There is lot of difference between Guru and SadGuru. Anyway a Brahmin means one who has the potential to know the Brahma by keeping balance of raja, tama and satva gunas. So to answer the question in the brief a killer is a killer attitude and reason for food does not justify killing when we talk difference between animal act and human act.
It is very deep topic to explain and I tried my best.
Thanks,
Anil
